Kanye West declared he is going to run for President in 2020 at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 30, 2015. It is not known if Kanye is joking about running for President or not, but it has become a popular topic for people on Twitter. Many people are showing their support through the hashtag "#Kanye2020". On the other hand, I believe Kanye West and Kim Kardashian in the White House will ruin America.

Deez Nuts wants to get people involved in American politics. He states that he is "frustrated with the two-party system". Deez Nuts, actually a 15-year-old sophomore boy, Bradly Olson, decided to run for President. He wanted to make a difference and create a movement to inspire more Americans who are upset with the state of election to vote. Yes, Deez Nuts is 20 years too young to legally be President, but he has definitely made a difference to voters.

Ben Carson has different motives from Donald trump regarding illegal immigration. Carson believes that drone strikes along the southern border will be successful. He wants to set off drones to eliminate  border "caves" where smugglers hide illegal immigrants. Many people think that Carson means he wants to target and kill these illegal immigrants, but Carson speaks out against those rumors and says "that's ridiculous".

Ayoub El-Khazzani, 26, boarded a train in Amsterdam bound for Paris armed with a Kalishnikov strapped across his shoulder. It is said that he has had ties to radical Islam. El-Khazzani was in the bathroom with his Kalishnikov, when a French citizen tried to use the bathroom and was attacked. U.S. Airman Spencer Stone, National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos and their friend, Anthony Sadler, tackled El-Khazzani and disarmed him. Skarlatos said they "knew we had to do something or he was just going to kill people". President Obama called to congratulate them and they are due to meet the French President Francois Hollande. Thank God for these brave men saving this Paris-bound train.

Facebook tells Catholic priest to lose his title on site (4)

Monsignor Charles Pope, a priest in a Catholic Church located in D.C., was told by Facebook that he could not use his name. Facebook claims this is because their policy is to not allow titles on personal site profiles. However, I see this a different way. I do not understand why Facebook would target this priest for being seen on the site as "Monsignor". There are many other people that use their titles that are from different religions such as Judaism and Islam. I believe that Monsignor Charles Pope has been singled out for what his religious views are.

Planned parenthood latest video shows details of harvesting fetal parts for profit (3)

Holly O'Donnell, Ex-Procurement Technician, StemExpress 

Holly O'Donnell, an ex-procurement technician at StemExpress, said the company that she worked for was partnered with Planned Parenthood. Her job at StemExpress was to harvest fetal tissue. She speaks out about how this company "tried to get the hard stuff 'cause you're going to get more money". I believe that selling fetal body parts for a profit is inhumane. A person should not murder a fetus in the womb and then sell their body parts. 

Attached is a vivid video from the Center for Medical Progress. In the video, technicians are tweezing away and picking through aborted fetal kidneys, brains, hearts, lungs, and limbs. They constantly rant about how they can sell these body parts for a profit.

ISIS beheads 82-year-old archaeologist in Palmyra, Syria (2)

Khaled Asaad, an 82 year-old archaeologist who had been in charge of overseeing the ancient site at Palmyra in Syria, was beheaded by ISIS militants. Dozens of people gathered to witness the killing of Asaad, who was hung from a column in the town's main square after being beheaded.

Syrian state antiquities chief Maamoun Abdulkarim said that Asaad was held captive for over a month and interrogated by members of ISIS before his murder. His captors had been trying to get secret information about where the town's treasures had been hidden, but Asaad kept that information from them, resulting in his death. ISIS is such a huge issue around the whole world today. Their brutality needs to be terminated as soon as possible because they are only getting stronger.

White House Hires First Openly Transgender Staff Member (1)

Raffi Freedman-Gurspan, a former policy adviser at the National Center for Transgender Equality, will soon serve as the White House's first openly transgender staff member. She will play her part on President Obama's staff as an outreach and recruitment director. This is a huge step for transgender rights in America. The White House's decision to hire Raffi Freedman-Gurspan shows just how much President Obama cares about promoting equality to all of the American people. Valerie Jarrett, a senior advisor to the president, stated that Raffi Freedman-Gursman "demonstrates the kind of leadership this administration champions. Her commitment to bettering the lives of transgender Americans, particularly transgender people of color and those in poverty, reflects the values of this administration." People like Farri Freedman-Gursman will be beneficial to the lives of transgender Americans.
