After the San Bernardino massacre, Hilary Clinton refused to say that "radical Islamists" or "Islamic extremists" were behind the terror attack. She told ABC news that, "I don't want to do that because, No. 1, it doesn't do justice to the vast numbers of Muslims in our own country and around the world who are peaceful people". Her comments and President Obama's comments about the recent terrorist attacks have intensified into a huge debate on whether to call Muslims who commit terror strikes "radical Islamists", "Islamic extremists" or "violent extremists". Both the president and Hilary have used the term "violent extremists" and refuse to use the work "Islamic".
